The book The Lost Boy pages # 3-42
You might need this to understand the second book: The first book is called A Child Called It it is about a boy named David and he gets abused by his mother and got starved at least 10 days in a row occasionally get the scraps let over from his brothers since he was in first grade he also sits on an old army cot in the garage when not doing chores for his Mother, his Father loves him but just sits there and watches his wife hurt him… at the end of the book he is almost 11.
In the book The Lost Boy the most dynamic character is David. A dynamic character is a character that changes in some way by a goal they have.Davids goal is to be like anyone else and not have a horrible mother. They also might change emotionally or physically. David is a 11 year old boy, that gets abused by his mother and does not tell anyone.
Two events that have motivated him so far in the book are one time his father told him that he loved him, then left for several weeks. Another event that motivated him was when his mother said that it was all just a mistake and she wont hurt him again but after two days of playing watching TV instead of sitting in the garage on an old army cot after two days child services came and asked him “has your mother ever beaten you” he said only when Im bad then when the lady left the Mother hit him in the face and told him he had said the wrong thing and that he was a “Bad Boy” and those are two events that have motivated David.
